Saskatchewan Occupational Health & Safety guidelines allow for a recertification course for individuals who hold a current certification card issued within the last 3 years. If your certification exceeds 3 years, please see our schedule for an upcoming full 2-day course.  

This is a comprehensive one-day first aid and CPR recertification course for those who need training for work requirements or who want more knowledge about how to respond to emergencies at home. This course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

Upon completion of the training, participants will receive a 3 year Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid/CPR level C/AED certificate.

Courses on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) provide the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children, and babies depending on the level of CPR chosen. All include training in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Courses offer training suitable for the workplace or general interest. Includes the latest CPR guidelines.

Upon completion of the training, you will receive a Red Cross CPR level C /AED certificate which is valid for three years.

4.10 BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (Healthcare Provider) RECERT Evening

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (Healthcare Provider) Recertification

$100.00 plus GST ($105.00)

Tuesday, 6:30pm - 10:30pm

Designed to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills and provide the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and perform rapid defibrillation. This course is designed for in-facility care providers, including nursing staff, care aides, medical and dental professionals. Pre-hospital care providers, which may include professionals in fire service, rescue team, sports-medicine, lifeguards and ski patrol.

Prerequisites

Must be currently certified in BLS

Completion

Successfully demonstrate all course skill competencies

Minimum 75% mark for written, closed book, knowledge evaluation

Attend and participate in 100% of the course

Upon completion of the training, you will receive a Canadian Red Cross 1-year certification in Basic Life Support (digital certificate issued upon successful completion)

Canadian Red Cross First Aid & CPR Instructor Recertification

First Aid & CPR Instructors support the Red Cross First Aid Program through the delivery of our First Aid and CPR courses. This course is for current Canadian Red Cross First Aid Instructors who require recertification. 

Pre-requisite: Must hold a current Canadian Red Cross Instructor certification and have taught a minimum of 3 courses within three years.
