12:30 pm - 5:00 pm *Plus additional Intermediate (Standard) First Aid to be scheduled by contacting First Aid for Life.
This course is designed to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills and provide the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and rapid defibrillation. The BLS course is intended for in-facility care providers, including nursing staff, care aides, medical or dental professionals, and pre-hospital care providers, such as those in EMS, fire service, rescue teams, sports medicine, lifeguards, and ski patrol.

Successfully demonstrate all course skill competencies
Minimum 75% mark for written, closed book, knowledge evaluation
Attend and participate in 100% of the course
Upon completion of the training, you will receive a Canadian Red Cross 1-year certification in Basic Life Support:AED, and a 3-year Standard First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
